For many years, within my school guitar teaching, I have been supporting young pupils to write their own songs. This school year (24/25) is the first time we’ve posted the children’s creations online. I’m super proud of what the children have achieved – they also got the chance to perform these songs live to their friends and families before the end of term!

First up are the groups I work with at Goosewell Primary School (the children range from 7-11 years old and work in groups of 4.) All pupils play their guitars in the recordings and then can choose if they wish to sing as well! The groups choose the chords, the style and write the lyrics!

2. Bored of… You (written and performed by Arya, Clarisse, Edith & Molly)
3. Serious Boxes (written and performed by Eli, Nathaniel, Nic & Seth)
4. No Matter What You Say (written and performed by Elliot)
5. Look Forward (written and performed by Bella, Holly, Morris & Olivia)
6. Tank for the Turtles (written and performed by Isaac & Lomond)
7. Every Warrior’s Dream (written and performed by Hunter & Nathan)
8. Girl Star Power (written and performed by Darcy, Eden, Imogen & Josephine)
